Meet Jennifer!

May 11th

Hello, Memory Bound Friends!

At Memory Bound we believe we have the most talented, creative, and fun staff and we thought it would be fun for you all to get to know our little MB family a bit better! So each week we are going to introduce you to one of our staff members! This week we are featuring Jennifer! Jennifer is one of the funniest gals and keeps us all in stitches! She is also an extremely talented paper crafter  and inspires many with her creations!

Here are a few of Jennifer’s amazing cards. She often makes cards for our Staff Studio which are available for purchase!

How cute are these decorated coffee cups??? 🙂

Jennifer is an avid scrapbooker and can often be found at our store crops, working away on her beautifully creative pages! Here are a few of her favorites!

Now here’s more from the in-house prankster and the good humored Jennifer!

I think I have worked at Memory Bound now for three years. I am not sure, but I think that is right. I have been married to James for 25 years this October. (Congratulations to James and Jennifer!) I have two wonderfully different daughters, Heather and Sydney. They are only similar in their looks.

I moved to Iowa six and a half years ago from Oklahoma. Go Sooners!  I absolutely love the snow and look forward to each and every snowfall and blizzard.  My parents recently moved up from Texas to be close to my family. The rest of our family is back in Oklahoma and Texas.

I can tell you that my expertise is NOT color matching. I enjoy all other forms of paper crafting, except matching papers. My favorite paper crafting tool is the new precision glue bottles that you fill with Scotch glue. The tip allows you to place glue anywhere that is needed! Lately, the paper crafting company I have been loving is Simple Stories. I love the variety of colors and themes. I use the collection pieces in my pocket pages or 12×12 layouts.

If you are coming to Iowa, you must check out the food at our local restaurants. In downtown Des Moines you can check out TacoApocalypse which has interesting taco combinations. Hickory Park in Ames is a must and for good home cooking, check out the Machine Shed.

My favorite holiday is Halloween and I love to pull a good Halloween prank. I have found that Dawn and Kellie (as well as some others on staff) can be just as devious around Halloween! October first, the Halloween pranks begin! I would have to say that my favorite thing about Memory Bound are the ladies! I have never worked at a place with so many woman that work so well together! I believe it’s because we love the store, the people and we all WANT to be there!
